Racism in Society
Although racism, by definition, means discrimination based on the belief that some races are by nature superior, it has since become more of a vehicle to adavnce these minorities through unethical means. since the founding of the united states, racism has been a prevelant part of our lives, but today's minorities are "crying wolf" to get ahead in the world. Racism has become the weapon of spreading inequality not just for minority groups but also for the caucasian majority. A few weeks ago, I was watching tv and I came across a show where a rights activist was preaching, preaching almost as radically as Malcolm X did in the 60's and 70's. I dont remember what his name was but he was preaching to a group african-americans about how the united states government should pay them for the suffering of their ancestors by the slave owners. He insisted that because "whites" used to have slaves african-americans should be given reperations for the inprisonment of the forefathers. This is an absurd notion. how can anyone expect to recieve money as payment for something that happened, not even to them, o
