napoleon- the animal farm
Late summer. The animals were still working to finish building the windmill. The supplies weren’t as many as last year, or when Jones had the power over the farm.Napoleon was now the one who took Jones’ place. He was the leader of the farm. He had many rights that no other animal on the farm had. The animals trust Napoleon, as if he was one of them, not the one to whom they were slaves. One day, while the animals were still working for the windmill, Napoleon was in the house, “working”. He had new ideas about how the farm can work. “What if “we” get back in touch with “the world” – which means more freedom, more supplies, more animals on my farm … in little words, more for nothing?” Napoleon was talking to himself, but Squealer who came into the room destructed him, as if he , the intruder, dared to enter in the thickness and darkness of his profound thoughts. He was having news. Boxer was dying, and the animals were all very scared.
