A detailed Summary of Sula


The novel "Sula" is a shrine of realism. It presents attitudes of the white-man and black-man that is true to history books and shows on Americas' past. I believe there are some elements of naturalism and romanticism also. But Toni Morrison was focused mainly on what life of a black person was like in America's time of hypocracy, dishonor, and white supremacy.

I belive Morrison tried to emphasize realism to show her feelings of how the color conflicts
