Encouraging children to believe in mythical

characters such as Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny can sometimes scar a child for life. For example if a child is sitting a Santa's lap and accidentally pulls Santa's beard off and revels Santa is in fact only a person pretending to be the mythical character Santa Clause, how do you explain that to your child? If this happens to a child sometimes the child will begin to only believe in things he or she can see. Another example of how encouraging children to believe in mythical characters can scar them for life is that when a child first finds out that Santa Clause is not real he or she feels let down by there parents.
