Computer Programming
My report is on computer programming. I would like to know how computers work, my explanation on Windows, and why fast modems don’t work on slow computers. I chose to right my report on this topic because of the fact that I have decided to major my studies in computer science. Computers are devices that process information with accuracy and astonishing speed (World Book, 908). The most powerful computer can perform tens of billions of calculations per second, computers are made up of many computer components, such as: Microprocessors, memory chips, input devices, storage devices, and output devices. Microprocessors Control computer systems and processes information (pcguide). The information is encoded as units of electric charge tat represents numbers. The Microprocessor consists of thousands or even millions of switches called transistors other electronic devices, and wires. These parts are arranged in circuits and built into a chip usually made of silicon that is no larger than a fingernail.
