The internet has forever changed the way we get our information. Though the technology has been around for about 40 years it was not perfected until the early to mid 1990’s. With the introduction of ISP’s such as America Online, Compuserve, general usage of the internet skyrocketed. These companies made it easy to search the web, chat, and use e-mail. The internet was not always as easy as technology has made it today. Back in the 1960’s the U.S. Department of Defense assigned the ARPA to experiment with linking DOD and military research contractors.
