This book was fun to read and it was rather interesting to learn about the different causes of stress. There are 100 little chapters, about two to three pages long each. This book talks about how unhappy people are often held back by their own misery and stress which distract them from success. If you dare to be happy, your life and your work will take on greater significance and will be experienced as an extraordinary adventure. The following includes tips from the book that will help minimize stress and conflict.

Some people are controlling. They attempt to manipulate the behaviors of others for their own purposes. People who are controlling carry with them a great deal of stress because not only do they have to be concerned with their own choices and behaviors, but insist that others think and behave in certain ways as well. Obviously, in business, there are times when you want others to see things as you do. That is part of business. What hurts the controlling person is wha


Accept the fact that every once in a while you are going to have a bad day. This doesn't mean you like it, only that you make peace with this inevitable fact of life. You can look at situations as horrible and frustrating or you can look for a silver lining. And even if you can't find any silver linings, you can at least laugh at yourself and the ways the universe sometimes works and just make the best of it.

Remember to acknowledge. You can acknowledge others in many ways. When someone calls you, acknowledge the call. When they send you something, remember to say thank you or take the time to write a note. When someone does a good job, say so. When they apologize, acknowledge that too. It's especially important to acknowledge acts of kindness because doing so reinforces the act and encourages more of the same. We all benefit. People remember acknowledgement and they appreciate it.
