Churchill, Roosevelt and Hitler in WWII

Throughout history, there have been many events that have shaped the future of civilization. However, none was of more importance than World War II. Whatever was to materialize at the end of the war would drastically affect the entire world and all of the inhabitants. If Hitler had managed to win the war, all the civilians of earth may have fallen into his diabolical grasp. This did not happen for many different reasons, but none more important than that of the contributions of three great leaders at the time. Franklin D. Roosevelt, the American president, and Winston Churchill, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, joined their military and thinking powers to defeat Hitler. Also, Hitler himself played a great part in his downfall. The personalities of Churchill, Roosevelt and Hitler dictated the outcome of WWII through Churchill's great leadership qualities, Roosevelt's popularity with the American people and Hitler's greedy and obsessive behaviour.

Churchill helped dictate the end of WWII with his great leadership qualities in Britain. Churchill was a noted speaker, author, painter, soldier, and war reporter.

All these qualities helped him to gain the support of the British people in the war against Hitler. His talk

This shows that Churchill did not want anyone else in charge of the Navy beside himself. He knew that he was the only one that could organize the Navy in a way that could win them the war. Also, Churchill was involved in Britain's World War I efforts, proving that he had immense experience in war tactics. This further shows just how invaluable Churchill was to Britain's military efforts against the German army. Churchill not only inspired the people, but also contributed in the physical fight. However, he could not have accomplished this without some help from his friend Franklin Roosevelt.

Churchill's naval team after he became Prime Minister was of much higher quality than any he could have mustered in the First World War. As Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, he had no intention of having a powerful or independent-minded civil head of the Navy in succession to himself.

s to the British people lifted their spirits to defeat the German army; he inspired the British people with his visits on the campsites of the wounded to show his support and concern, always holding up two fingers in the shape of a v for "victory". Churchill was a man that had virtually no fear at all. He would walk onto the fields of battle where his life could very well be in danger, and would salute his men, something seldom done by any other political leader. Then again, Churchill was anything but an ordinary political leader. He was a man that would do anything to help his country rise up to the task and win the war; so everywhere he went he held up those two fingers, and this sign became a trademark of sorts for Churchill. To the people of all the Allied nations, this simple gesture became an inspiring symbol of faith in eventual victory. Churchill was a true inspiration for all people fighting the war against Hitler and his armies, and he was known by all and loved by many.

Roosevelt's popularity with the American people as their leader effected the end of WWII considerably. Roosevelt had very good speaking skills, not unlike Churchill, which helped him to get his people fired up to win the war. He was a very loved and compassionate leader, mainly because of the relationship he had with his people, which was on a very personal level. This is because he was the first president that made an effort to get to know the people of his country. He also had a disability, which lead to sympathy by all Americans. Many people felt sorry for Roosevelt, but even more than that, they felt proud of him for being able to continue on with life even with the disability. "However, a battle against polio that left him unable to walk but strong in spirit had prepared FDR for struggling against adversity and for feeling empathy with other people." This shows that even though he was disabled, Roosevelt was able to keep going on, and this inspired all the people of America, leading everyone to believe in Roosevelt and his leadership. His personality appealed to the people of the United States greatly, and he was one of the most successful Presidents
