Hamlet

Is Hamlet mad? Well, this question is simple to answer for some people. Isn't the term "mad" a little harsh? Maybe not. In my opinion, he's insane. But I also think he has a right to be. There is so much drama going on in Hamlets life, it's literally driving him out of his mind. And I understand him well enough that if it was me, I would be doing the same thing. His father died two months ago and his mother is already marrying another man. To make matters worse, this other man is Hamlet's uncle. Ophelia committs suicide by drowning herself. She was Hamlets one and only true love. He also finds out Claudius has everyone spying on him, watching his every move. And what does Hamlet want? Revenge. Revenge on Claudius for killing his father. Hamlet's way of taking revenge is so strange that the people aroud him start to believe he is truely going insane.

Hamlet believes Claudius is evil and an unfaithful king. He believes Claudius is only marrying his mother to gain reign of Denmark. Although he also believes his moher is marrying Claudius because she is lonley. Hamlet becomes very angry at his mother for these reasons and he has a rig

Hamlet wants revenge. Altough in by taking this revenge, it seems as if he has lost his mind. Claudius and Polonius soon watch his every move to see what Hamlet is up to, to prove to themselves he has really gone mad. One night while Hamlet is talking to his mother, he becomes very violent towards her. He soon realizes someone is watching him behind a curtain, and thinking it is Claudius, Hamlet takes his knife and stabs inwardly toward the curtain. A pool of blood creeps out from under the curtain as Hamlet pulls the curtain up from off the ground. He stared in shock from what he had just done. Polonius was lying on the floor, dead, and for a moment Hamlet was very unsure of what to do. Hamlet realizes he might be starting to take his actions too far, not meaning to murder Polonius. After Ophelia find out the man she loves has killed her father, she goes crazy. Soon after she drowns herself, making Hamlet even more "mad." Ophilia's brother, Laertes, finds out what happens as well, and wants to take revenge on Hamlet. Laertes plots out with Claudius how to kill Hamlet. During this time period, Horatio, Hamlets only friend, stays by Ham
