A detailed Summary of Community Involvement


Community involvement provides an environment in which we develop the skills and acquire the knowledge that can help us make a difference in our rapidly changing society. It strives to provide us opportunities to make decisions and encouragement to satisfy our academic needs responsibly and effectively. My contributions to the community are not huge but i did try to make a difference by helping sick patients in the hopital and contribution in red cross.

Firs of all , i wants to talk about my experience in Riverdale Hospital. It was a very different and interesting experience. I was involved in therapeutic program which held every saturday. The condition of this program was to inform patients about the program that was held in the auditorium of the hospital. If any patient was interested, i have to explain them the nature of the program and bring them down to the auditorium. During the program , i have to supervise the patients and make sure everything is goi


Secondly, I worked in a key club ( one of the club in our school) . Here the nature of my work is different from my above experience but the meaning is same. I made stockings for red cross during christmas time. I didn't know how to sew but during this experience i learned a new thing. I learned to be more precise and accurate. Also, its giving me a satisfaction that i am helping those poor people that also needs happiness at christmas time. Its like i am spending chirstmas with them. In addition, i worked in main office of my school. I did filing for counsellor and teachers. I gained skills like inter-personal , communication, organizational and managerial skills . Therefore, these experiences helped me shape up my life. For example with these organization skills i can do better in my school assignments because you can't get good grades if your writing is not organize. So, that was the great experince , i actually enjoyed it.
