Some of the main causes of children dropping out of high school are from the lack of parental guidance, falling into the wrong crowd, and difficult life circumstances. Without a high school education, finding a job is more difficult and the job will not pay as much without a degree. As the economy changes and as the competition increases, finding a meaningful job becomes more challenging. Not having a high school degree almost always negates a person from ever having a "good" job. Of course, there are those rare cases of "making it" in life without a high school degree.
