A Day Like Any Other Day
"... A day which will live in infamy..."- said President Roosevelt on December 7, 1941 after the the empire of Japan attacked a naval base named Pearl Harbor. I will share with u my opinions on the "sudden and deliberate" attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. As u know, the United States was attacked by terrorists from the middle east. They hijacked 4 commercial airliners and flew them into the Pentagon, World Trade Center Towers, and the fourth was heading toward the White Housee but was taken back by a heroic group of people and then crashed. In the following, I will tell you what happened to me on 9-11-01 and how I was affected. Then I will state my opinion on what its like growing up in a time of war, how the social environment, and all the events that have occurred after and because of those attacks. And finally I will talk about all the memorials and the such.To start with, how my day went on the day of days. I awoke on that fateful day just like I awake on any other, it was the second day of school. I went to school and sat there just like I sit there on any other day. It was boring. It is always boring, I thought to myself. Although the attacks occurred in the morning, I did not learn about them until I

Next on my to do list is my opinion on growing up at this time, the completely different social environment, and all the vents that transpired due to the 9-11 attacks. Is there a war going on? In my opinion, no there is not. War is when 2 or more factions (countries or groups) fight against each other and both sides take casualties. The U.S. Marines went in to Afghanistan and destabilized a government. They did not fight terrorism. They fought a third world country that supported terrorism. The whole Middle East and some of Asia support terrorism. What really confuses me is that the Taliban lost thousands of soldiers and the U.S. lost fewer than one hundred and most of those were in accidents. I want to know what happened over there. We as a country need to know what is going on in a situation that involves us. And the thing that is bugging me the most is that another attack is guaranteed to occur. All I have been hearing on CNN and the such whenever I watch is people pointing out flaws but I can only guess whether or not that problem has been solved or not. The social environment is in a grim state. There is a lot of racism in the school. And the Arab students aren't making things any better bye acting like big shots like they can't get in trouble for starting "stuff". Finally, the one year anniversary. Many great thing
