A detailed Summary of april morning

1)Adam Cooper, a young man that fought the British at the age of fifteen. During that battle he witnessed the tragic death of his father. From the death of his father he learned to be a man and knew he would have to take care of his family. His father never once showed him that he loved him by words or actions, until the night before he died. His father talked to him and put his arm around him. Until that night his father had never showed him love. So he also learned that his father did love him after all.

2)Moses Cooper, father of Adam, was a very strict father, he was always making Adam work and never once showed compassion towards him, until the night before his death. He was shot in the chest and killed during the battle against the British. What Moses learned is that his son was now a man, and that if he died that morning, he would be able to support the family. He learned this while they talked the night before his death.

3)Solomon Chandler, a sixty-one year old man who helped Adam out while he was hiding from the British. They met when Adam was running from the British in the woods and ran into Solomon. Solomon grabbed him, at first Adam was scared and tried to get away

2) This book made me wonder about the lifestyles of people around 1775. And what kind of person I would be if I grew up during that day in age.

4) This book made me hope that I will never have to go through anything that he went through. I wouldn't be able to take it as well as he did.

The main idea of this book was that you may not think you can win because you are out numbered, the truth is that you can win if you believed. This was proved in the book when they came back in beat the British in the battle of Lexington. The had already been beaten by them once, and they were out numbered, but they believed they could. And they beat them.

My favorite character in this book was Adam Cooper. He was a young man that fought against the British at the age of 15. During that battle he witnessed the death of his father right in front of him. Out of all of the characters in this book I chose him because I have the most respect for. The reason why I say that is because I will never have to go through such a rough life like he did. Growing up he had a very strict father. He was always doing chores, and everything he did it seemed like it wasn't good enough for his father. He was always upset about that and thought that his father didn't love him. This continued for a while. His dad always went to town meetings and his dad would never go, saying he wasn't man enough yet. He finally let him start going, and they found out that the British were coming soon, so they all had to get there guns and wait for them. All of the men went out to fight, and the mothers and children stayed in. Adam's father allowed him to go fight with him. Before they all met to get ready to fight the British his father talked to him, and said he was now a man, and was
