Keep Marijuana Illegal
A detailed Summary of Keep Marijuana Illegal
People smoke marijuana to get a psychological reaction known as a high. This consists of changes in the user's feelings and thoughts. When you are high off marijuana everything seems to be funny. They tend to laugh at everything. They tend to hear things that they do not ordinarily hear, like your heart beating. They know it is beating, but it sound like a loud drum beating. Some people experience high blood pressure. While users are high they imagine things that are not there. If they are driving down the highway high they think and feel like they are doing the speed limit but they are actually going slow. Users could also think that they are seeing five lines when they know that there is really only one. Their speech becomes slurred and their eyes are blood shot red and tight as can be. When users are high they have a lot of energy, but when they come down they have no energy at all. When they come down they tend to get very hungry. It is a hunger that you do not ordinarily feel and is commonly called the munchies. They just want to eat anything and everything that they can possibly get their hands on. After they come down off their high it makes them sleepy. Marijuana should stay illegal because of the irresponsibility of peop

le, risk factors, and the inability as a medicine.

Marijuana contains more than 400 chemicals, including most of the harmful substances found in tobacco smoke (Marijuana: The). Smoking one marijuana cigarette deposits about four times more tar into the lungs than a filtered tobacco cigarette. Marijuana is clearly a dangerous drug that poses a particular threat to the health and well-being of people. This takes a big toll on children and adolescents at a critical point in their lives- when they are growing, learning, maturing, and laying the foundation for their adult years. It is an addictive drug with significant health consequences to its users and others. There are also many short-term and long-term health consequences of marijuana use. It has no medical value that cannot be met more effectively by legal drugs; therefore it should stay illegal.
