Adversitising

In this case the advertiser is trying to convince an audience that could range from twenty to maybe 50 year old by making them feel that if they buy their phone they will have a sense of freedom they don't have yet.

The ad features a very nice and calm background with a man looking after his herd of sheep. The man does not seem to be worried at all about his herd. The ad also has a message that reads " TODAY you have the freedom to change your wireless plan no matter where tomorrow takes you" Here the advertiser is trying to get the attention of people who might not feel they have enough freedom. The advertiser is giving choice which is what people want to hear and want. For example if someone wants to to buy a phone they have many choices to make. First they have to chose what kind of phone they want. Second they have to choose a company. Third they have to choose a calling plan, how many minutes are you going to be using. All these choices make the customer feel like he is in control and he has the freedom to do what he chooses. In the end the companies make the best out of these situations because you chose but they have yoiur money for that feeling of control and freedom you get. All companies or most try to give you somet

Also some ads like this one contain small print that usually lays the foundation of the company and how they work because they don't like to lose money. It says that if you change your plan you might have to purchase different phones which means more money for them because the only phone that work with their service is theirs. There is also a twelve month contract that cannot be canceled unless you pay a giant fee to disconnect in which case you are paying them their money. They are very well protected because they state that "Calling areas, rates, agreements, provisions, business practices are subject to change as specified in the general terms and conditions." These are not listed anywhere on the ad and these are probably hidden facts not told to customers in order to not scare them off. They also list a website and about thirty-plus stores you could visit to get the deal. All of the statements make you feel like they care because they have web sites, phone numbers, stores near you but all they want is the money.

Advertisers today are driven by the thought that technology will fix everything. Specially today with the internet you can search just about anything and do a lot. You can shop for clothes, books, and so much stuff it too much to type. They are making people deal with problems by login online and making decisions there. Although I gotta say that ebay is a very good idea but most of these phone offers are really tricky. For example pacific bell offers first incoming minute free but there is a service charge of four nine
