Mice, dolphins, and humans are the smartest creatures on Earth, and they all know this. Of the three, humans are the only ones that do not understand the order. The mice know that they are the smartest and run everything on Earth. The dolphins know and understand that the mice are smarter and the humans are dumber than they are. But humans believe that they are the smartest and that they run everything, but in fact they are not they are the third smartest and are led to believe they run everything. In conclusion, "so long and thanks for all the fish" (156). Slartibartfast explained to Arthur that the Earth was "commissioned, paid for, and run by mice" (163). He explained to Arthur that the mice had been experimenting on humans downing man's existence on Earth. At the end of the book, two mice want to steal Arthur's brain because they think that his brain might contain the Ultimate question.( )
