Yosemite National Park
Looking up at the gallons of water, falling hundreds of stories, feeling the mist encircling me, I cannot believe my eyes. It is a 317 foot plunge to the bottom of the jagged rocks. They are one of the most powerful waterfalls within Yosemite National Park. Vernal Falls are a remarkable part of the nature that is surrounding me, in Yosemite. They flow over the edge to create a fast-flowing, boulder-filled, whitewater torrent with many small rapids and cascades. As I look around, I see all the peaceful animals scurrying about the mountain, living in harmony with this surging beast. Squirrels, chipmunks, birds, raccoons, all living amongst the rocks, water, and trees. I look up at the brilliant blue sky, clear as the eye can see.
