A detailed Summary of Democracy
"Democracy" which is a term that originated in Ancient Greece is a form of government that is ruled by the people of the Country in which the democratic system is runs under. It is for the people, and organised by the people. Democracy is basically, the way that a group of people run their lives with the group of people they live with, for example the people of our country Canada all live in a democrasized. Democracy is the system we have chosen that was likely required for the large number of people whom which we share our beautifull country Canada. But I don't think that we ended up having this type of systen because a majority of the people on day said, lets do it but it should be known that now, it should and will be maintained by the wil of the people. One thing we know, is that no matter where it has come from, or originated, democracy has become a critical part of our daily lives including of those whom we live with in us in the Western world. The way the democracy is run is all determined by the way that the majority of the people in the society wish to have it. The voted representatives decide the most important questions of law or policy. In many democracies, both the executive head of government and the legislature are elected. With the people and royalty, yhis was the commencement of the British Parliamentary system.
In relation to this, "Walter Bagehot" beleived that, "Each man is to have one twelve-millionth share in electing a Parliament; the rich and the wise are not to have, by explicit law, more votes than the poor and stupid; not are any latent contrivances to give them an influence equivalent to more votes." Which became the basic principle or our democratic system, that everyone has equal rights to vote, and have descision in our government system, or more directly by the representatives in which we have selected by majority vote.
