My Role In Writing
A detailed Summary of My Role In Writing
"Sometimes it feels like the world's on my shoulders, everyone's leaning on me..... I act like shit don't phase me, inside it drives me crazy! My insecurities could eat me alive!" Eminem truly described it best. There has been so many times in my life when my emotions run ramped, and I have nowhere to release them. These are the times when I never used to know where to turn, how to deal with everything, or what to do. In the past, I just bottled up all my emotions until it felt as if they would drive me insane. It wasn't until about a year ago that I found my escape, writing.
Life without writing is like cereal without milk, it would never be the same! Writing is the part of my overall existence that completes me. I use the gift of words in my everyday life to express myself, release emotions, and escape my fears. There's nothing better than sitting down with a piece of paper and a pen, and making my thoughts dance on the page like a rippling stream of poetry. For those brief moments in time it is as if all your problems disappear. When you are done writing, you feel at ease with what was previously bothering you. In everyone's lives there are certain experiences that touch them in many different ways

Just from this one experience in my life I have learned how to deal with my emotions, and it has made me a better writer for school as well. My journal writing has carried me to become a much more open minded, creative writer, and also helped me to express myself more clearly. This in turn has really made my writing more and more interesting to read as I continue on my path of self discovery through many words As Eminem said it best in the beginning, he also says it best in the end. "Now it don't feel like the world's on my shoulders, no one is leaning on me!"
Not only does journal writing helps me to cope, but more specifically, poetry is my answer. Life as a teenager in the world today brings so much drama and confusion that is thrown around day in and day out. Between pressure to be perfect by society's standard's, to friend's, significant other's, parent's, teacher's, and coach's standards. For me, pressure is everywhere there is no hiding from it! I have, however, found a way to escape from it and clear my mind. Poetry is that escape for me. It is a smooth and beautiful way to clear my mind onto a piece of paper and leave it there for even a brief period of time. Whenever I am lost in this huge world I find comfort in poetry. Poetry not only clears the mind but it makes it so much more creative too, and the world today lacks so much creativity in their writing styles.
. In my life, I have certainly had that experience. My dad's health has been my inspiration and aspiration to write.
In the future, as I keep my journal close, I believe this experience in writing, as well as in life, will help me to continue to turn my creative energy into words. It will not only help me to express my emotions, but also continue to improve my assigned writing for class. Keeping it interesting and fun to read.
Ever since I was a little girl, for as long as I can remember, my dad has struggled with health problem after problem. When I was just five years old he had his first major surgery, a liver transplant. Things went pretty well after that, until his kidneys started to fail and in 1998; My mom then g
