Nature vs. Nurture

The controversy over what determines who we are, whether it is Nature (heredity, our biological make up) or Nurture (our environment). Through the past decades psychologists have developed different theories to explain the characteristics of human-beings; how we feel, think and behave. Usually, these theories were one directional in the nature/nurture question. I do not think there is a middle ground between nature and nuture. This means that our experiences may be influenced by our genetic tendencies. One way researchers study the development of traits and behaviors is by measuring the influence of genetics through out ones life span, and it is found to be that the genetics influence on certain trait increase as people age. A research was done to see whether a trait would show up a in a child if it was environmentally influenced or genetically influenced. A child was given more negative attenti
