Hate Crimes
Hate crimes can be defined as violent acts against people because of their actual or perceived race, color, national origin, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or even disability towards any person. Hate crimes send a message to people that certain groups of other people dislike them or not welcome them in a particular community. People who have been victimized by hate crimes suffer more emotional state of trauma than any other victims from other committed crimes. In my opinion I think that people who have been through or experienced hate crimes tend to remember that and even suffer from that more than for instance, if they being robbed or stabbed etc, with the particular period of time they forget about that and move on with their lives. On the other hand hate crimes leave a big mark in the memory of lots of people, that it was not only the attack on the personality because of race, color or gender hatred, but it also has a huge effect on the other people in that neighborhood or people that are the same race, color or gender so these crimes can be considered also as mental crimes not only on humans but on the emotional state of mind. Lots of people perceive hate crime perpetrators as crazy, hate-filled Nazis or skinheads
Hate crimes are not necessarily random, uncontrollable or inevitable occurrences. There is an overwhelming evidence that society can intervene to reduce or prevent many forms of violence, especially among young people, including any other forms of hate crimes that threaten and intimidate entire categories of people today. Hate crimes should indeed be more punishable by law to people who commit those crimes because when person commits a murder or manslaughter they do that when other person made them very angry or done some damage or in the state of pressure or it was even self-defence, which is also considered to be a crime but this a crime without self-realization, on the other hand in hate crimes people know and realize what they about to commit and they are motivated to do that so. This final conclusion might seem to be wrong but this just my personal opinion of how I see difference between hate crimes and other crimes. The largest not only in my opinion but I think overall opinion when it comes to hate crimes is racial and religious bias. Discrimination against African-American, Jewish people was the worst and the most terrible hate crimes in the world that is still happening today in the world. From my own knowledge I can only tell and recall these horrible hate crimes against Jewish people during the World War II, when Hitler was sending them to concentration camps to be slaughtered and burned like animals, these recollections depict that hate crimes even existed decades ago during our existence. Jewish people still suffering from hate crimes even nowadays. Fore example, from what I heard there was a bomb detonated to the Jewish Center in New York. Hate groups like Ku Klux Klan who hate black people, again these people has been driven by willful blindness by thinking that white race is superior and black race
