Bill Gates
Bill Gates, a young hacker with dreams to develop a software for computers. Computers for companies and computers for home users. He was not alone in this dream. He had a fellow friend to help him out, Paul Allen. His full name is William H. Gates. He is the chairman and chief executive of Microsoft. He was born on the 28th of October in 1955. Having more then fifty billion dollars, he is said to be the richest man alive today. He married a product manager at Microsoft, her name is Melinda French. Now that the intro is over lets see how it all began. In 1968 a company called Computer Center Corporation opened in Seattle. They were offering computing time at good rates. Gates who was at Lakeside Prep school got computing time because CCC made a deal with the school. Gates and his friends started exploring the new machine. It wasn't long that they started causing trouble. They caused the computers to crash many times and they seemed to find how to break the computers security system. They got caught by CCC when they were altering the files that recorded the amount of computer time they were using. CCC banned them from the computers for several weeks. Him and Paul Allen and two other hackers started the Lakeside Programmer Grou
During Bill Gates's Jr. year at Lakeside the admin offered him a job computerizing the school's scheduling system. Gates asked Allen to help him. Both of them continued looking for opportunities to put their skills to work and to earn some money. They found a company called TRW that was having trouble with a bug in their system like CCC did. They offered Gates and Allen jobs. The thing Gates and Allen disliked was they wasn't allow to find the bugs only in charge to fix them. This is when Gates began to develop as a serious programmer. Gates and Allen now started talking seriously about forming their own software company. In December 1974 Allen was going to visit Gates on the way he looked at the magazines in the stores. He saw the first microcomputer kit on one of them. He rushed over to Gates dorm. They both recognized this as their big opportunity. They knew the computer market was about to explode and that someone had to make software for the new machines. Gates called MITS and told them that he and Allen created a BASIC for the Altair. This was a lie, they haven't even written a line of code. They didn't even have an Altair or one of the chips it used. They worked endless hours coming up with a BASIC. Gates worked on the code and Allen began working on a way to simulate the Altair with the schools PDP-12. Eight weeks later they felt they finally finished the program. Allen flew to the company to show them the program. He entered the program into the Altair hoping that nothing went wrong, and
