Every year the National Football League (NFL) grows larger. More and more people are starting to watch football on Sunday and Monday nights. Family and friends are listening or watching the football game on the TV., radio, or in the stadium stands. One team, however, stands apart from the rest. The Green Bay Packers Commonly known as "The Pack". The Packers are extraordinarily special to many fans in Wisconsin along other places across the country.

Now in their 83rd season of professional football, the Green Bay Packers are a team and an organization unique in both structure and accomplishment. They represent the only publicly owned franchise in the 32-club National Football League. On the field, they have won more championships than any other team in the NFL's 81-year history. Green Bay Packers, Inc. was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1922 under the leadership of A.B. Turnbull, then publisher of the Green Bay


The fans are united as one, cheering on the Packers. At every home game, all that can be seen is a stadium of pure green, white, and gold. People wear cheese heads, replica uniforms, and Packer clothing accessories. Every game is sold out because Packer fans are dedicated. Rain, snow, and hail will not keep the dedicated Packer fans away. The fans are determined to see the game and watch their favorite Packer star. One reason most people go to the games would be for the famous "Lambeau Leap". Every time a touchdown occurs the player that scored it will leap into the stands to be hugged and patted excited fans. Even if the Packers are not playing at home, fans still watch and listen to the game on the TV. and radio.

Packer fans are also very respectable to the other teams fans. I have been to many Packer games at Lambeau Field and have yet to hear major criticism about other teams. If a player is good we respect them and
