Story of a Baby Boy
Denver! There are no words to describe my love and passion for the city of Denver, Colorado. The mountains, the skyline there is nothing like it. No city is quite like Denver. The most important part of why I love Denver is because I was born and raised there for 7 years. I hadn't been back in 8 years. When my mom came home and asked were I wanted to go for 5 days, there was no question as to 'were' I wanted to go. We called my Aunt D to tell her that we were on our way. I never thought that Denver would hold more then old memories. I was so wrong. With in the next two weeks my Mom and I were e-mailed schedules of everything we would be doing hour-by-hour, day-by-day. Then the e-mail came, the one I would like the best! There would be a boy involved in this trip. My aunt thought that I would be board just sitting around, listening to her and my mom catch up on old times. Since they agreed that it would be ok form me to go somewhere else while they did their catching up thing, I needed a buddy to hang out with. My aunt thought of a friend of hers that had a son that would be just the person for me to hang out with. It was all set. Cameron and I were to spend two days of fun together. At first I was very excited t
o meet a new guy. I knew he would be nothing like the guys out here in Illinois, or at least I would be able to see if all I had to work with were the guys in Chicago. I was so happy when we got off the plane. I gave the pilot the biggest hug I could, and thanked him for taking me home. That night that we landed in Denver and my aunt had me call Cameron to talk with him. When I first heard his strong, deep, voice I thought that he would be a big buff jock, and I hated that because I hate jocks. They think they are kings and that they own the world. After we hung up with each other I ran down the stairs and told my mom what he said. "'Cause I don't like it when people stare at me" "What you tryin to say, 'you didn't plan on liking me'?" "Sure, that's fine with me." I responded.
