Sister
What can I say about my sister Danielle? She is just one of those people who lights up the room when she walks in. She is the sun in most of my cloudy days. Danielle, who is now approaching elementary school, can’t wait to do everything “big kids” do! As big as she gets I still, like a parent who doesn’t want to face their child growing up, see her as my baby. Although, I have begun to see her in a new light; she has become my friend. Nevertheless, my friend the “big girl” continues to be a major responsibility. Despite the fact that it is still work and I sometimes complain, I believe that in the end, it gives me joy. Most importantly she is just a wonderful sister. Thus Danielle is a source of happiness, a wonderful responsibility, and a fantastic friend/sister. Danielle is almost six, about eleven years younger than I, and a very heart-warming little girl. She has long blonde hair, which she refuses to cut. When I ask her if it’s because she is going to grow it to her feet, she says “NO, I am going to grow it around the whole world!”. I always think of her when I am feeling glum.
