Obedience to authority is necessary for any society to function. The point, at which obedience to authority becomes dangerous, is when it harms other citizens. One should obey authority, when it is empowered by the society, through rules enacted by society. Following this policy, society can prevent chaos.Obedience to prevent chaos is part of our everyday routine. For example, obedience when driving is necessary. When officers give orders in traffic situations, obedience is critical for traffic to flow, thus citizens to get around towns, to work and pay taxes. If people overran 1 or 2 officers, there is no way to stop herds of people making a run for it. An example, showing the need for obedience is rioting.
