Christianity: the religion of those people who believe in Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. Christians know little about Jesus. Paul’s Letters, which are the earliest known written documents about Jesus, were written about ten years after his death. Thirty to fifty years after his death The Canon was written. The Canon: a set of books or texts by which a group or community abides. In Christianity this set of books is called the Bible. Within the Canon are the Gospels. Christians use the Bible everyday, and most read it to try and figure out the “proper” way to live their life. Searching for the ultimate truth about life Christians question, why are we here? How should we live our lives to better serve God? To “believe in” Jesus meant accepting the teachings of the church and to act them out accordingly. Two of the Synoptic Gospels in the New Testament are Matthew, and John. They are stories about Jesus’ birth and his resurrection. Within the stories of these two similar books come differences; these differences consist of how each of the two “storytellers” begin their story.
