The Decision
I have made many decisions in my life but the one that sticks out the most to me is the decision not to play high school football all four years. Instead, I chose to play only two years, my sophomore and senior year. I had a bad sophomore year, with a lot of injures and limited amount of playing time, that got me to the decision of not returning for my junior year. I enjoyed the time off that I had, but when it came to football season it was like there was something missing. I said to myself that I was going to return for my senior year. The decision to play football for only two years hurt me with experience, scouts, and having fun. Choosing to play football for two years instead of four hurts me with the experience desperately needed to play the game. I really enjoy playing football, but I didn’t know that much about it. For example, play calling, who to block, and how to avoid blockers. I played defense and my purpose on the field was to never take myself out of the play, but to position myself to make the tackle.
