All my life I have had a hard time in school. I have always had bad grades, and my parents have always given me a hard time because of this. As a child I was tested to see if I hade a learning disability. The doctors said nothing was wrong with me and told my parents that I was just a normal person. At a young age, I had a hard time in school, but it was good enough to pass me on to the next grade. As I grew older it became harder, and harder for me to concentrate. I couldn't even motivate my self to read a book, or do my homework.

When I was in elementary school, I had a hard time learning how to read. They tested me to see if there was something wrong with me. Finding there was nothing wrong with me, they assumed I was just a slow reader, and though it would take me a little longer to learn how to read. Over time I learned how to read at the level I was supposed to be. The only problem was reading in class, or reading by me self took a lot of effort on my part. As I grew older this habit I picked up had become a death trap. I got caught up in the cycle of not doing my homework, thus I started to fail, or get poor grades in all my classes. My parents and I just though that I was just the laziest person in the world, and I did not care enough about school to just do the bare minimum. I hated going to school, and I could not wait to just finish high school. I had no desire to go to college after high school.

Looking back, I wish that my ADD was discovered at an earlier age. Because of this, I have had a hard time in school, and now I am struggling to get my grades to where they should be.
