A detailed Summary of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey
In Homer's Iliad and Odyssey epics, many themes are prevalent throughout. The one that I found most powerful is the thinking that through invisibility excessive pride can be converted to humility. This means that people have to remove themselves from their normal person to see or accomplish things they wouldn't otherwise.
In the Odyssey, Odysseus becomes invisible in order to escape the Cyclops. After blinding him, Odysseus and his men hide underneath the sheep in order to escape. Odysseus then proceeds to tell the Cyclops
