September 11th
As we all know, on the fateful day of September 11th, 2001, the World Trade Center, also known as the Twin Towers were struck by two planes flown by terrorists, and ultimately destroyed. It is a day that no American will ever forget. In my opinion, it is absolutely impossible to forget that awful event because the media constantly broadcasts the towers being hit and crumbling to the ground. If I remember correctly, television stations broadcasted numerous telethons, a three month anniversary, six month anniversary and finally the one year tribute that took place and aired for America to see, just a few days ago. Radio stations also took part in a tribute by holding fundraisers, and as a matter of fact, every day at 12 noon, 106.1 WBLI plays Whitney Houston’s version of the Star Spangled Banner to commemorate the great loss suffered by so many Americans on September 11th of last year. I personally think that the amount of coverage given to September 11th’s events is a bit much and does not give Americans time to heal from it. Like the saying goes, everyt
