Frankenstein
The novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is focused on the elements of the supernatural and feelings evoked throughout the story. Frankenstein is not a tale of a “monster story” as one may view it as, in actuality it is very typical of a Romantic Period style novel. With the description of nature, and being “in tune” with it, Shelley expresses the need and desire of one’s relationship with nature. Shelly expresses the need and desire of one’s relationship by elaborating one the feelings of the monster. Her elements of nature and emotion make Frankenstein the typical Romantic Period classic it is today. A common element in a Romantic Period classic is the use of nature throughout the story.
