In my family, we argue sometimes, or we have different opinions about different things. Like most families, disagreements happen often, it is what keeps us together and makes us a family. In the story Everyday Use Maggie often fantasies about her family being like the ones on TV. Where everyone is always happy, no disagreements or jealousy. It takes her to the end of the story to realize that those things don't matter, that the importance of family and her heritage, are the memories you share through good or bad times. In the story Everyday Use Maggie and her family learn the value of heritage and the importance of family. There are three main characters in this story Maggie, Dee, and Mamma. This story takes place in the home of Momma and Maggie, Dee comes in to visit from college. Dee is much more smarter than Maggie, Dee also likes nice things.
