St. Johns Cathdedral
The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is the Episcopalian answer to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. St. John the Divine’s is the world’s largest cathedral and observation alone of its beautiful external artwork is a rewarding experience. The west façade of St. John the Divine’s is covered with sculptures each portraying a different event. The west façade resembles that of Amiens Cathedral located in Amiens, France. Each cathedral has three main arched entryways with the center entry obviously the largest and a rose colored stain glass window above the main entryway, St. John the Divine’s, however, is much larger. The two smaller entryways are located on the north and south ends of the west façade. The north entryway has four sculptures on either side of the doors and a trumeau of St.
