A detailed Summary of Jane eyre
Jane Erye has always had to deal with all different kinds of abuse throughout her entire life. Sometimes it was mental and other time it was physical. The most physical of the abuse came from when she was staying with her aunt and cousins. Even when she went away to her Lowood institute, she was constantly forced to ender inhuman standards of clothing and conditions. Then when she finally left Lowood institute, she was mentally toyed with by Mr. Rochester.
In the beginning of the book, you could she that Jane Erye was no stranger to physical abuse. She was rejected by her Aunt who held the view that her son was perfect and could do no wrong. So Jane Erye was often punished for doing nothing wrong. This was soon when John walked into the library and asked where Jane Erye was. After he found her, he struck her for not calling him master. Then when he found out she was reading a book, he (8) "I did not at first aware what was his intention; but when I saw him lift and poise the book and stand in the act to hurl it, I instinctively started aside with a cry of alarm: not soon enough, however; the volume was flung, it hit me, and I fell, striking m

That episode shows how this cruelty has been going on ever since she has lived there. In this episode she finally loses her mind and calls John names in he then attacks her. Of course, when they are broken up, it is Jane who is blamed for attacking John and was locked into a room. This kind of treatment only causes a person to get way stressed out and have a mental break down. When she had her break down in the red room, she was visited by a doctor the next day. When he asked her what she would like to do she said she would like to go to school. So the doctor talked to her aunt and her aunt found a school named Lowood Institute.
During her stay at Lowood institute, she endured a lot of mistreatment. When she go there, one of the first things she noticed was that they were fed barely enough to live on. These were the standards that there schools director instituted. He did this because it was a school for orphans and didn't want to spend too much money on them.
