The Man of La Mancha is a great book for people who like to think. And use their imagination. The story of Don Quitoe reminds me of the children cartoon show bobby's world. In Bobby's world bobby uses his imagination to create a new world from his house. This is much like Don Quixote. Everyone has their own perception on their world. If everyone thought the same there would be no disagreements and ultimately nothing would change. The different perceptions that people have inspire inventions change. Unfortunately the differing in ideas can also lead to wars as well. Don Quitoe has a great imagination either that or he is crazy. He builds everything up so much and makes it very believable even for someone who just met him. Now him falling in love with Aldonza at first sight is somewhat believable. As the Beatles sa
Even though Don may seem to be very crazy. He was doing what he wanted to do. What his heart desired and furthermore it made him happy. And that is the important thing about life. Be happy, and do things that make you happy.
In the story it is quite unfortunate that the main character dies. Although it is good that he dies as Don Quixote and not Alonso Quijana. It would have been very devastating for sancho as well as Aldonza if he died other as Alsonso. This story is mainly about how one man can create something out of nothing so he can be comfortable in it. Alonso may not have like his life and because of this he decided to go out and make something fun and exciting. This reminds me of Homer's The Odyssey in which Ulysses goes out to make something of his life. And the underlying theme in both of these novels is life your life
