Man Who Grew Happiness
This story touched my heart. I couldn’t believe that one man had so much persistence to get what he wanted done. This story should be a lesson to anyone who wants to do something for themselves or for others. It teaches us to strive, and not to give up. Overcome every obstacle, to not let up, much like Alzeard Bouffier. If I were to undertake this task I do not think that I would be able to it. In today’s society everything is animated or electronic, it is a very fast passed world that we live in, and I would not have the patience to wait 3 years to see some sort of worthwhile for my work. The hermit Shepard did not have very many things to worry about. Just him and his sheep he didn’t have to pay bills or drive a car. It was just him in his own little world. That is much different then the way we are today. We live in the high-tech, governed world. In which we contribute to the better of the whole by paying taxes and voting. That may be why no one really goes out by themselves to plant trees. Either we don’t have the time or the patienc
