When two people come together in a marriage, the responsibility to each other is more greater then when you are dating. Many people believe that life gets easier once you marry and everyone lives happily ever after. Well that is not the case. As time goes by married couples go through the duration-of-marriage-effect. The accumulation of over time of various factors, such as poor communication, unresolved conflicts, role overload, heavy work schedules, and child-rearing responsibilities, that negatively affect marital satisfaction.
