I find it very ironic how some people get away with actions that are “wrong” or “different.” Although times have changed and always will in the future, their are many situations that call for the rules or laws to be bent. Personally, I come across these situations daily and still say, “That’s not fair!” and “Why do they get to get away with that?” After thinking it over a while, I usually conclude that it’s probably for the better, even though others don’t agree. Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird also shows us some examples. At school, Scout and Miss Caroline meet Burris Ewell. Burris is obviously a troublemaker and causes Miss Caroline much distress. He ends up walking out of school on the first day. This did not alarm the most of the students because most of them knew about the Ewell’s situation.
