In 1999 ninety-eight prisoners were executed this was the largest number since 1951 in which there were 105. And in 2000 eighty-three men and two women were executed in just 14 states. The death penalty has been around as long as civilization has and the debate over the death penalty is just as old, a person can hardly even speak about it without getting someone fired up.
