Communication

A detailed Summary of Communication

Describing the way our brains handle problems compared to other species is an important topic that helps us understand our survival. The things that made us superior to our primitive ancestors are the ability to communicate and solve problems.

The way that ideas and messages are passed from one person to another is one of the points brought up by Daniel C. Dennett. In his theories about communication he believes that the more complex the language is the better it is. I believe that his idea is correct because its supported by facts like the human language and how detailed the language can get. When thinking about something as simple as telling someone to go to the store to get some milk for example. The primitive way of communicating this would be get milk from store but as our ways of communication became more complex we could communicate to that person so much more information. We could say things like: what store to go to, what kind of milk,

The way that allot of animal's brain works is by trial and error. This means that something bad has to happen before you do something about it. Humans can learn from another humans mistake as well as predict the consequences. These are things that we might take for granted but its one of the things that set us apart from the animals and helps us to be the dominant species. All of these qualities that make us who we are and has us improving ourselves with every other generation. Studies haven't shown animals to have these qualities but they do have the capability to hold this information. If given the right situation maybe chimpanzees would have been the ones to evolve to a higher level and obtain communication skills as well as ways of solving problems as we do. These are all things that we probably would never know but with the knowledge we get as time goes on we get further apart from our primitive ancestors and closer to a better level of com
