Things Fall Apart Part 1 Questions

1. I think that the reason Achebe decided to the title form Yeat's poem was because it tells a story of a turn around in human life and innovation, just like Achebe wanted to write about and in his book "Things Fall Apart".

2. Okonkwo was a very large, rude and competitive man, he was not very smart although he was very strong and he fought with almost everyone when he could not communicate. He is different form western hero's because he doesn't really help out the innocent. Or help the poor he just cares for himself and all his needs. His weaknesses are that he is not very bright and he mostly uses his fists over words.

3. Okonkwo's father, Unoka is a very lazy person who borrows everything and never repays his debts. He is glad that the town thinks of each individual as what he has done rather than what his father has done. He does not want to end up at all like his father and it helps him not go the same path.

4. The narrator is very moral, he tells the story with clarity to be able to understand each character and his past, present, and hints on the future.
