A detailed Summary of Abraham


Born into a polytheistic family, Abraham believed in many gods. Abraham was then called by God: "Go forth from your native land/ And from your father's house/ And I will make of you a great nation/ And I will bless those who bless you/ And curse him that curses you/ And all the families of the earth shall bless themselves by you." He had no children at the age of 75 but his wife and he set out for the holy land of Canaan. Abraham creates a good and righteous name for himself traveling as far as Egypt. God tells Abraham to offer up his one and only child Isaac to him, but at the last second reveals that it was only a test of Abraham. At the age of 175 Abraham died. Abraham put all his faith in God and trusted him with al
