Evaluation of Milk
"Food- Pint of Contention: While critics question the virtues of milk, others say pour it on for good health. Here's the bottom line." ; Timothy Gower; Health Magazine; May 2002; pgs 66-70. Timothy Gower focuses on the controversial topic of whether or not milk is good for you. He discusses the different types of milk, which ones are the best to drink, and also studies that have been done to verify the results. It is evident that American consumers are very much in the dark about the truth on milk, thinking that it is healthy and wholesome to have in your daily diet. I was happy to see that the author made it very clear that none of the information was absolute certainty, because this issue affects every American, and shouldn't be taken lightly. He did a very good job with the presentation of the article and made sure both sides were seen. The only thing I would add would be to describe in detail a little more about the different types of milk, what they contain, and how each one effects you. Other than that, I thought this article was very interesting and can't wait to see the outcome. As I stated in the summary, the whole issue of milk is still up in the air as
