Beware! America is being invaded by aliens! Not the little, green, Martian type you see in science fiction movies, but the real thing. I am talking about the illegal type who come in every day and every night, by land and by sea. Estimates have shown that as many as 500,000 illegal aliens make it across the border every year. Illegal immigration causes many problems in the United States, including economic problems, crime, education disputes, and overcrowding. Also too many illegal immigrants will cause economic problems such as taking away jobs from American born citizens. With all these facts in mind I think that we should close the border and no longer let immigrants come to the United States. If we close the border then the problems that immigration bring will be eliminated. Other people may argue that the borders should remain open for illegal immigrants to enter and exit the United States as they please. If the borders are to remain open then this will cause a major problem for the American born citizens that already live in the United States. If the border is open for illegal immigrants to enter then the United States will become so overcrowded that we couldn’t have as much space as we have because there will
