Drunk Driving
Several times a week I witness my fellow students make a choice that may end their lives. Without giving it a second thought these individuals put their lives and those who surround them in danger. When they do this I am sure they never think that they could be committing murder. What they are doing is drinking and driving. When someone gets behind the wheel of a car after drinking they are putting themselves in the position to commit homicide. Something needs to be done to change the thinking of college students to make them realize the mistake they are making. For many college students drinking is a form of stress relief and relaxation. Drinking gives you a feeling that nothing else can. Alcohol allows students to forget about the pressures from parents, professors, and bosses. During the time that you are drunk everything that is wrong seems right. Drinking is also a bonding experience between friends, particularly male students. Many organizations encourage college students to drink. Fraternities and Sororities are notoriously known for there ritualistic drinking habits.
