The Crucible written by Arthur Miller was a play that portrayed many characters with many different characterizations; Giles Corey was one of those characters. Giles Corey was a man not many people of his town could put a finger on. He is an older gentleman about 83, and built like an ox, but had a heart of gold. Some people didn't like him very much because of his outspokenness, like Thomas Putnam. Other people loved having him around because he was a hard worker and was a pleasure to have a conversation with, like John Proctor. Then he has a third side that is a lawyer side. He is a man of many different talents and personalities.
