This morning I waked at seven o' clock, and I was astonished to see a Neanderthal women standing on the lawn. Why would a Neanderthal woman come to Texas? , I pondered. I've heard of such encounters from other places all over the globe, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Brazil, and even some parts in Canada. I never thought I'd see the day when a Neanderthal woman is found within the United States, but I valued my discovery with such great happiness. I raced around my mind until I finally came to realized that I was standing on a gold mine. Publicity, fame, or even fortune I could feel were just around the corner.
I quickly dashed around the corner to the kitchen, where I placed a phone call to the police department. I gave them a brief description of this Neanderthal woman and told them the scenario. "All right son, we are assembling a team to extract the Neanderthal women right now. Keep a good eye on her. If she starts to run away you give us a call immediately. You got it?" said the police dispatcher. "Yes sir, I understand." I hung up the phone and ran back to the window, so I could get a clear vi
ew of the Neanderthal women. My instructions were to keep track of her, an easy task, or so I thought. I opened up the front door and saw all the neighbors outside on their porches watching and waiting for something to happen, anything at all. "Hi, how are you?" I stuttered out, speaking to my new uninvited guest. Just then something remarkable happened. It was as if she was anticipating my arrival; she looked at me with her big, droopy eyes and gave me a great big hug. Then she began telling me about herself, and strangely enough I knew what she was talking about. Her life wasn't all that much different than mine, other than fact that she is a Neanderthal, but that's not the point. She too was an only child, got left at home a lot when her parents went off to work, and she happened to be about my age. We talked for what seemed like hours. There was something about her large jaw structure that just tickled me with happiness. Just then I remembered my phone call to the police and immediately felt hopeless.
