The United States is growing frustrated with Russia and other members of the United Nations Security Council due to their reluctance to go along with plans to modify sanctions on Iraq. As a result the Bush administration has decided to go along with the UN's plan to delay action for another month. The real problem with Iraq consists right here in the United States. There appears to be no way to really win the conflict and as a result the United States appears divided on the issue. The reason for the divide is the fact that the American public will not be satisfied with anything short of severely weakening or removing Saddam Hussein. Another key factor to the dividedness that surrounds the issue is the fact that few Americans are willing to pay the price of a ground war that would be required to accomplish the removal of Saddam.

Sending diplomats around the world to gain support, or blaming Europeans for being greedy and wanting Iraq's embargo lifted so that they may profit through trade with Iraq. The way we can start working towards a solution begin with President George W. Bush unifying his advisors, and both houses in order to work towards a solution that is fully supported by the American public.
Experts believe that the presence of American forces in Iraq can accomplich containment in Iraq regardless of how much money Iraq accumulates. Although we should try to limit Iraq's accumulation of weapons of mass destruction, we cannot be intimidated by the fact that Iraq may acquire them.
