Madeleine L'Engle is the author of more than forty books for readers of all ages, including: A Wrinkle in Time, A Newbery Medal winner; A Swiftly Turning Planet; Meet the Austins; The Moon by Night; A Ring of Endless Light, and many more. In 1984, Madeleine L'Engle received the Regina Medal for "continued distinguished dedication to children's literature." She now resides in New York City. This book was originally written in 1986, however, it was printed in 1987. Madeleine was writing several novels at the time, and decided to set this one aside. The setting for most of this novel is in the biblical times, just before Noah started constructing the Ark, on an oasis in the desert. All the supporting characters are affected by the setting as they have dark brown skin and are only four feet tall. When the twins arrive in the desert, they get very badly sunburned, as they are not use to the much stronger sun of this time. Summary The twins, Dennys and Sandy accidentally transported themselves to somewhere. They did not see the sign on the door that said "Experiment in progress". The nephil are fallen angels, who do not follow god's directions anymore. Tiglah is a girl that is married to one of the nephil. She tries to seduce Sandy and Dennys.
